What the key tasks will look like
The Data Governance and Quality Lead will be responsible for driving data quality improvements across the organization. This involves leading change management initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation of data quality policies and procedures, generating insightful reports on data quality performance, and fostering strong interdepartmental collaboration to promote a data-driven culture. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing change management strategies, conducting gap analyses and training, monitoring policy effectiveness, creating data quality metrics and reports, and acting as a liaison between various stakeholders.
More concretely, your tasks will be:
- Change Management
- You lead data quality improvement initiatives organization-wide.
- You develop and implement strategies for smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
- You collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data quality standards continuously. - Policy Implementation
- You ensure a timely local implementation of data quality policies and procedures, including local approval, gap analyses, implementation plans, progress reporting and training sessions
- You ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- You monitor and adjust policies to optimize performance.
- Reporting
- You oversee the creation and distribution of data quality reports to key stakeholders.
- You develop metrics and KPIs to measure performance.
- You provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making. - Communication and Interdepartmental Cooperation
- You foster strong relationships to promote a culture of data quality.
- You act as a liaison between IT, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data quality objectives.
- You conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on data quality best practices.
