Mission:
As Executive Assistant to the COO, you will act as a trusted right hand to the COO of DKV Belgium. This is not a traditional executive assistant role: you will work closely with the business, help bring structure to strategic topics and support high-level decision-making.
You will support the COO in translating strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, executive documents, business cases and concrete follow-up. You will interact closely with DKV Belgium’s top management and with the ERGO Group on strategic initiatives within the COO domain.
The COO scope covers a wide range of business-critical domains, including operations, customer services, claims, contract management, facilities, medical expertise, HR, transformation, data and digital services.
What the Key Tasks Look Like
You play a key role in supporting the COO’s strategic agenda by helping to structure priorities, ask the right questions and ensure clear follow-up:
- You contribute to strategic roadmaps, transformation initiatives and improvement actions by bringing coordination, analysis and clear follow-up.
- You prepare executive documents, memorandums and presentations for the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and other governance bodies.
- You monitor budgets, FTE evolution, KPIs, service levels and action plans, and translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
- You prepare and follow up COO meetings and events, including agendas, minutes, action logs and decision tracking.
- You build strong relationships across the organisation and act as a connecting point between the COO, senior stakeholders, business teams and group-level contacts.
Required Skills and Competences
- You hold a university degree or equivalent by experience, preferably in (health) insurance, financial services, transformation, consultancy or strategic project environments.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in senior executive support, corporate office, strategy support or project coordination, ideally close to senior management or C-level stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English and have a strong professional command of Dutch and French.
- You are highly proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, and you are comfortable working with data, budgets and business cases.
- You combine strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset: you quickly understand complex topics and translate information into clear insights, recommendations and executive-level documents.
- You communicate confidently with different stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, and you easily build relationships across departments and hierarchical levels.
- You are proactive, self-steering and curious. You take ownership and act where needed.
- You can work under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities and deliver high-quality output across multiple topics.
- You handle sensitive and confidential company information with discretion and professionalism.
